MALDEF's 2014 "Latino State of the Union" to Address Critical Public Policy Issues Facing the Latino Community

Event will be Broadcasted LIVE and Feature Latino Leaders from Across the Nation

NEW YORK, NY - On Thursday, February 20, 2014, MALDEF will host its 2014 Latino State of the Union at the Time Warner Headquarters in New York. The event will feature a panel of national Latino leaders discussing critical public policy issues facing Latinos today.

United States Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, will provide remarks as keynote speaker and the host of CNN Latino's Sin Límites, Elizabeth Espinoza, will moderate a panel discussion. Latino leaders participating in the panel discussion include: José Calderón, President, Hispanic Federation; María "Gaby" Pacheco, Co-Director of the Bridge Project; Arturo Vargas, Executive Director, NALEO; and Tanya K. Hernandez, Professor of Law, Fordham University School of Law. Thomas A. Saenz, MALDEF President and General Counsel, will provide an address.
